Critical Literacy view.

I have almost completed this semester and almost completed learning this subject. For the past few months i was very skeptical about this subject. Can i past this subject or not and all the negative thinking, but then after learning what is Critical Literacy is all about, it was quite interesting subject. I learned to view things differently and able see that even the simplest thing or words have a deeper meaning.

During the lesson, with the help of homework and presentation it help me a lot in understanding the subject. Working together with friend in the group can help to generate the idea and better understanding about Critical Literacy. What i like about the subject is during the presentation because when we present the slide, the lecturer will tell whether its right or wrong. I don’t know why, but everytime the lecturer tell us that, it raised my spirit to to the homework better, it inspire me to be better.

My suggestion for this subject is that the tutorial class should be 2 hours period as the mass lecture only 1 hour cause student can’t concentrate a very long time during mass lecture. And maybe watching movies something that related to this subject so that the student eager to come to the class and learn.

Propostion :

Life is a mere illusion and just like the world is a stage as we use it as a stepping stone for a showcase of our talents.

      Life is a presentation of choices. Wherever you are now exactly represents the sum of your previous decisions, actions and inactions. At any given time the number choices available to us is limited not by our capabilities but by our assumptions and awareness. This never ending story of life that is being played right now by all of the people on planet earth and which they did not realise that they are the actors with customised script for them to be played.

       World as a stage. Basically, all world is like a stage. Not only my world, but your world and other people world is like a stage. In which they will have to make a choice or decisions that will affect their script or life later on. It is the medium that are being used by the actor to express and show their talent and gift alongside with the supporting cast which is their family and friend. But not all of the supporting cast will stick with you all the time.

        People will come and go, not all people are meant to be with us forever, some are just passing through our life to give us lesson that we could take and improve ourself. This stepping stone help to determine our next season whether we still standing on the stage or not. 

Statements view

Based on the latest incident of BFM newsreader being threatened with death, rape and being burnt alive assumed to be by Malay-Muslim netizens, i don’t think that its show the truth our country, the citizens and our leadership.

Is this country safe for our children to live in ? Yes, if the simple point is not raised against the issue of Hudud, Democracy, clean election or others that can cause our country to be in turbulance. We can’t just simply became agitated just because of some simple issues. The outburst of murder, rape and burning people alive could be vanished if all of the systems that did not “ matched” with the other system is being controlled by force that can bring the harmony and automatically it will show the country, its citizens and its leadership. Of course leadership would come first, but then the system would choose the leadership so that the harmony of the country and its citizens could be maintained through out the becoming years and also safe for our children that will be the future leader.

It is important to start at the very beginning so that this kind of incident won’t happened such as the BFM newsreader being threatened with death. I mean, the mentality of the citizens is important in order to maintaned the harmony life. They should change their mentality, their way of thinking to make sure the incident did not happened in decent country. In conclusion, the people, the leadership should cooperated to live in peace in the harmony and avoid doing the wrong thing because if slipped, the mistake will be repeated again.

Women shouldn’t be behind the wheel

  Women are known to be clumsy while driving. Nowadays, people can see that a lot of incident happened are mainly because of women drivers are careless while driving. They not very focus on the road and they tend to see the mirror checking the make up and all sort of things. But sometimes, they can’t be blamed if the incident happened, it is fate and people don’t know when or what time the incident would happened. I have thought about it and I do agree that women shouldn’t be behind the wheel because there are lot of reason why they shouldn’t. First, they tend to drive carelessly while following their emotion. Second, they have a very low patient level and they did not tolerate with other driver around them. Lastly women, they talk like too much even while driving and did not focus on the road.

 As a  men, I was very afraid when woman want to drive the car. I agree that women shouldn’t be behind the wheel. 

Topic: you heard comments and maybe grievance from your seniors about Critical Literacy, but what is/are your expectation or hope for this subject as you are jst started.

During the first week of this semester, i was wondering what is Critical Literacy is all about. So i decided to ask the previous student about the subject, they said that it is a very though subject...but as soon as i start to learned about Critical Literacy, i found that it is very enjoyable as you can understand what it is all about. It is quite interesting actually because you could see even the simplest thing have a very deep meaning. At first, i was a little bit skeptical about the subject but it helped me alot in terms of reading and seeing things differently. It open my eyes about the Critical Literacy and how excited for me to learned it !

My hope for this subject is it will continue to inspire me to see thing defferently and success.
